The Austrian Reporting Platform provides a Business Intelligence (BI) solution for the Austrian judiciary and supports the central authority as well as the subordinate courts, public prosecutor’s offices, and correctional institutions through a centralized platform for reporting relevant data. This solution enables efficient administration, greater transparency, and data-driven decision-making in the field of judicial management. It includes a wide range of reports on the activities of courts, public prosecutor’s offices, and correctional institutions, within which operational data are correlated with personnel and budget indicators. The data required for this purpose are extracted from various core systems of the Federal Ministry of Justice (BMJ), as well as from the federal personnel management and budget accounting systems, and are processed in a data warehouse (DHW) for reporting and analytical use.

How it works
The Austrian Reporting Platform consolidates various applications, each with a specific focus. In the field of justice, the platform supports the central authority, courts, public prosecutor’s offices, and correctional institutions with a modern and tailored business intelligence solution.
To this end, it accesses data from the justice data warehouse, which in turn sources its data from various justice-specific applications as well as cross-government federal applications, and processes this data for clear and structured presentation. Through the application, users—depending on their authorization—can view reports on the different areas of activity of courts, public prosecutor’s offices, and correctional institutions. The platform’s flexibility allows for the easy customization and development of reports tailored to the specific needs of each target group. A standardized user interface (UI/UX) is employed, enabling intuitive use and meaningful visualization of key performance indicators.
The platform provides both reports that can be accessed by all users within the justice system and reports that are restricted based on specific permissions or the user’s role within the judicial organization. A key success factor is that the platform enables the development of highly specialized reports closely aligned with the operational requirements of the justice sector, resulting in a high degree of responsiveness and flexibility.
